Departing Saturday 7am, 10th October from Cooranbong Park join us for an incredible adventure that takes in the best scenery of our colonial history over two memorable days.

DAY 1 – 100km Mountain Bike: We’ll cycle our way through history covering segments including the 43 km stretch of the convict-built Old Great North Road. Built between 1826 and 1836, it contains the oldest surviving stone bridges in mainland Australia, including Clares Bridge and Circuit Flat Bridge. After 100km and 1,950m of climbing we’ll arrive at our destination of Mill Creek Campground near Wisemans Ferry where we plan to spend the night (here support people such as family or friends can meet you with camping equipment or if you’re up for the challenge you can do the ride completely self supported, although I’m sure we can help you with a few items that you can put in the support vehicle at Cooranbong!)

DAY 2 – 110km Mountain Bike or Road Ride: Depending on numbers and interest day 2 will see us either ride the Womerah Range Trail or a return to Cooranbong road ride. Womerah Range Trail is a challenging 48km mountain biking route with scenic views through the Hawkesbury sandstone country that takes in cliffs, rocky outcrops and dramatic gorges. After meeting the Putty Road we have the option of returning the way that we have come or riding down the Putty Road towards Colo and looping back around to Wisemans Ferry (110km and 2,200m of climbing). OR if a road ride return to Cooranbong is preferred we’ll follow the Hawkesbury River downstream before climbing up to Central Mangrove and across to Kulnura from where we will then descend Bumble Hill to Yarramalong to then follow the Wyong River downstream before making our way through Dooralong and Mandalong to arrive at Cooranbong (110km and 1,500m of climbing).

Hoping that you can join us for one or both of the days!

NOTE: If you are interested in joining us for camping on the Saturday night then please advise us soon as we will need to book a site with the National Park and sites are limited (cost is $12 per adult and $6 per child).

Trav's 'Wild & Fast' MTB Gun Ride

Meet Martinsville Cricket Ground 7am Saturday 10th October
This ride is dedicated to getting the most out of the kilometres that are ridden, the route circles through the Watagan Mountains along a number of fire trails, 4 wheel drive tracks and single-tracks  This route is all about making the ride as interesting as possible by mixing up the terrain being ridden on. PLEASE NOTE riders will need to carry sufficient water and food for the day and also spare tubes parts and simple tools in case of mishaps. Please ensure your bike is in good working order before the ride too. Also some riding may be slightly technical and steep, however the route will still be suitable for bikes with shorter suspension travel. If you are all about the thrill of riding a mountain bike, this is the ride for you. We will be riding approximately 100km. If you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact Travis on 0484644677.
